Neutral Protease finds most common application in food processing industry in order to improve quality, stability, & solubility of food items. In leather industry, it is specifically used for hydrolysis of non-pectin components. This enzyme also finds application in cosmetics industry and for production of various pharmaceuticals. Neutral Protease requires optimum pH of 6.5 to 7.0 for working effectively with ability to hydrolyze peptide bonds of proteins.
